Why should you join PRAV?
is the only membership organisation of its kind in Australia. It provides members a unique opportunity to access specific information in relation to playgrounds and play experiences for children, families and the community. PRAV services to members include:
- Provision of a telephone advisory service.
- Informative newsletters.
- Current advice on Australian Standards.
- Information on best practice in playground safety.
- Access to play industry networks and contacts.
- Specialist consultancy to schools, Government and organisations regarding planning, design, evaluation, and development of play opportunities.
- Access and use of resources in the members area of this website.
- Reduced rates for seminars and workshops.
Rights and responsibilities of members
- All members must support the PRAV mission and values and agree to abide by the constitution, rules and regulations of PRAV.
- Members can vote at the Annual General Meeting and /or Special purpose meetings, and can be elected to PRAV’s Committee of Management or sub-committees. Group members are entitled to one vote per group.
- The Committee of Management of PRAV reserves the right to reject/ and or eject a member if conduct has been proven to be not in line with our mission and values or if illegal or unethical practices have been undertaken by a member.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting shall take place within three (3) months of the end or the financial year for the following purposes:
- To confirm the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings, if any; no discussion being permitted thereon, except as to their accuracy;
- To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Committee and audited statement of accounts for the preceding financial year;
- The election of Office Bearers and Ordinary Members of the Committee for the ensuing year;
- The election of auditor(s) for the ensuing year;
- The transaction of any business of which at least fourteen (14) days prior to the notice has been given.
- At least fourteen (14) days' notice of the Annual General Meeting shall be given to all members.
